CME Information
Activity Purpose
To allow participants to review the results from important clinical trials and evidence-based medicine and to translate that information as they globally manage patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, especially as they face complex coronary, carotid, and peripheral arterial cases.
Intended Audience
C3 has been specifically designed for physicians who specialize in interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology, as well as fellows, residents, and other healthcare professionals interested in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to
- Discuss the natural history, pathophysiology, and treatment options for patients with valvular and structural heart disease
- Apply current therapeutic options for the treatment of femoropopliteal disease and critical limb ischemia to improve quality of life and limb salvage
- Summarize the role of thrombus management in the treatment of coronary and peripheral arterial interventional treatment
- Use cardiovascular risk reduction measures and anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease
- Apply knowledge about the safety and efficacy of drug-eluting stents to clinical practice
Method of Participation
This activity will consist of lectures, transmission of live cases, reviews of pre-recorded cases, and clinical debates with collateral slides, syllabi, and interactive question-and-answer sessions. To receive CME credit, participants are required to complete the enrollment/evaluation form and submit on-site. A certificate of credit will be emailed to participants within 6 weeks of receipt of the form.

Accreditation is provided by The Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning.
Physicians
The Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning (ACHL) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
This activity is approved for AMA PRA Category1 Credits.
Other Healthcare Professionals
Several organizations, including ANCC and AAPA, recognize and accept certificates of participation for activities certified for AMA PRA credit.
