- It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the C³2009, which will be held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel on Sunday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 17, 2009.
Thanks to continued innovation and evidence-based medicine, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular interventional therapy continue to evolve. In order to fully realize the potential of such innovation, we must continue to strive to incorporate these therapeutic strategies and techniques in our practice. C³ will remain at the center stage of such innovation and advancement in interventional therapies and strive to instantly impact your clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
In previous years, C³ has showcased some of the best live transmissions from the world's leading experts in cardiac and vascular medicine. C³2009 will attempt even more ambitious unparalleled live transmissions, well surpassing the expectations of previous years. This year, more than ten very carefully selected live centers will feature expert operators performing selected cases. Our live transmissions will contribute to your understanding the capabilities and limits of complex catheter-based techniques and enhance your own technical prowess. Knowledge gained through these cases will be immediately applicable to your current practice.
After carefully assessing feedback from C³2008, this year's meeting will expand to include sessions where attendees can discuss their own cases. An ambitious agenda of state-of-the-art lectures, debates, and probing scientific symposia has been assembled. C³2009 will stage many exciting topics: Thrombus Summit, DES Symposium, CLI and BTK Disease Symposium, venous disease session and many other areas described in the following pages.
